Tanto International School - Our departments

OUR DEPARTMENTS

Our goal is to offer a high-quality education to all Our school consists of three different departments that have a clear focus on different ages and areas of education. The Tanto International School, The English Nursery and T.A.S.C (Fritids) make up our school.

This variety within one organisation and being located together in the same beautiful corner of Södermalm allows us to share our quality work, inspire one another and link learning before school, during school and after school as well as between nursery and school-age.

Lower School

Within Y1-4, we work on the basis of two integrated working methods that prepare for lifelong learning. We show our students how they take responsibility for their own learning while we help them build their social skills and empathic abilities.

We see these two factors as a way to develop their potential to be successful both as individuals and in group contexts.

Upper School

Teaching for Year 5-8 is done using digital aids where each student gets their own Chromebook. These students also have subject specific teachers in order to prepare them for future studies.

We are currently opening up new classes for upper school:

2025-2026: Year 8

2026-2027: Year 9

2027-2028: Year 10

The English Nursery

Attached to the school we have a small bilingual nursery following the Swedish Curriculum.

We currently have 30 spaces available within the Nursery and 3 key groups split into Moons (1-3 year olds), Planets (4 year olds) and Suns (5 Year olds)

Our Nursery children benefit from a close partnership with the school, ensuring a smooth and confident transition to primary education.

T.A.S.C

The Tanto International School offers an exciting and engaging after school care program for students in grade 1-7.

Students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities that promote their development, deepen their knowledge of a healthy lifestyle, environmental awareness and friendship.
